this past tuesday a group of deca members went to mtsu to compete. most of us were individual but there were a few of the categorizes that were team events. i competed in a team one (travel and tourism) with jeremy. if you ask me it was a bs contest cause i didn't really know too much about what i was talking about. but basically what goes on is that everyone there takes a 100 question test about marketing and business stuff. and then we get a situation to role play and have 30 minutes to figure it out or do what it asks you to do. then after those 30 minutes have passed you go present it to a judge, some times two. and you are graded on things like professionalism, look, your ideas, things like that. so me and jeremy thought we did okay but not too good. later that day we had awards turns out me and jeremy did better than we thought. we ended up with first place in out category! i didn't see that one comin'. lol.
